At the 2008 BMC Awards Luncheon, Sam Roberts, BMC President, announced that the Billy Mitchell Chapter beat out several other AOC large chapters (300+ members) to win Chapter of the Year.  The BMC Board thanks all BMC members for their support to our various programs, because all of us working together achieved this honor.

During the Oct 2008 BMC AOC Educational Foundation Board meeting, the Board approved the award of $11,000 in scholarship grants to 8 students at 4 local universities. Scholarship recipients were:

At the annual BMC Awards Luncheon, Billy Mitchell Chapter honored several individuals for service to the Association, the Chapter, and to their profession.  Mary Ann Proctor, wife of Director Emeritus "DAK" Proctor, received the AOC Distinguished Service Award for her contributions to the Chapter and to FiestaCrow since their inception.  Ron Poland, outgoing BMC Director and AOC National Mountain-Western Regional Director, received the BMC President's Award for his service to the Chapter this last year. Tom Eisenhut, outgoing BMC Director and Programs Chairman, received the BMC Board of Directors' Award, and Rich Hauf, outgoing BMC Director and Elections Chairman, received the annual BMC Volunteer Award.  Also honored were several local AOC National Award winners.  Pictures of the winners are located here.
