The Billy Mitchell Chapter College Scholarship Program has disbursed $280,785 since 1986 when the program was established.  It was set up to:

  1. Assist students studying engineering and the hard sciences, who are likely to pursue careers in electronic defense, information superiority and related professions.
  2. Support member national interests by encouraging students to enter science and engineering fields.
  3. Create greater awareness in the educational sector for electronic defense and information superiority.

The program is based upon academic excellence or financial need as the primary selection criteria of applicants.
